  • Robert “Bob” Francis Sailer, 78, of Hot Springs Village was surrounded by family when he passed peacefully on September 16, 2015. Bob was born on April 19, 1937, in St. Paul, MN to parents Frank and Lucille (Belser) Sailer.

Bob retired from Burlington Northern Railroad in Fort Worth, TX after 41 years of service and was elected president of Burlington Northern, Southwest Region Veteran’s Association until 1998 and relocated to Hot Springs Village, AR. So devastated to here about Mr.Sailor. He was probably the coolest old men I ever met. I loved to hear his stories and if I could I would cook him hash browns and over easy eggs again it would be a pleasure. I will remember him for the rest of my life.

I just found out from a dear friend that Bob had passed away. I never had the pleasure of meeting Bob in person, but we were both members of the same message board almost 20 years ago, and since we shared the same values and beliefs became good online friends. He conveyed (so many times) his love for his family and his life, and I know he is missed. My deepest sympathy to all of Bob's family and friends.
